About Milton Realty
Milton Realty Service Company, Inc. was founded in 1986 as Milton Appraisal Company.
Our original focus was on appraisal and fee based consulting services for commercial and industrial real estate while taking on a limited number of brokerage assignments. In 1989 the company began to focus more of its efforts in the areas of sales, leasing, and management. Over the past several years, Milton Realty Service Company, Inc. has been responsible for many of the significant new office leases and buildings in the Lynchburg and surrounding area. Today, Milton Realty Service Company, Inc. is the largest commercial real estate company in the region, employing six full-time professionals and a support staff.
The staff of Milton Realty Service Company have been awarded more professional designations than any other commercial real estate firm in Central Virginia, and these are among the most prestigious in the commercial real estate industry including CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member),
CRE (Counselors of Real Estate) and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). These designations are a testament to our training and experience and place us in a network of high-level practitioners which spreads nationwide.
In addition, we also maintain memberships in other real estate organizations including: International Council of Shopping Centers, CoreNET Global, and Urban Land Institute.
Milton Realty Service Company is involved in almost every facet of the
commercial real estate industry. We have acted as tenant
representatives for AT&T, GMAC, Olsten, Growbiz International,
Legg Mason Wood Walker, Nationwide Insurance, Omnicare, and Ntelos,
and we have represented developers on multiple Walgreens pharmacy
locations. We
have represented a number of clients in multiple sales and lease
transactions. Real estate disposition services have been
performed for such companies as Lowe’s, Ericsson, Owens-Corning, AmerisourceBergen Corporation, and NCR.
Based on our size and capabilities, we are often selected to help national real estate firms, who do not have a presence in our region, better serve their client’s needs.
The combination of skills which come together within our company offers insight and knowledge into the Central Virginia market which is unmatched by any other real estate firm in the area. We regularly track sales and lease transactions throughout the state and the region and use this data to help our clients make the most informed decisions possible in the ever-changing world of commercial real estate. Also, through our close contact with local and regional economic development offices, we are able to provide our clients with the maximum exposure to prospective tenants and purchasers whose first contact in the area may be with those departments.
